Naples

Naples
Naples is located on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The Gulf Coast provides warm soothing waters, soft white sand, and generally less crowded beaches than its Atlantic Coast counterparts. Naples, being in the far southwestern corner of the state, is the crown jewel of the Gulf Coast.
This city used to be one of the most affluent cities east of the Rocky Mountains and it stays true to its roots even today. Naples is one of the more expensive cities in Florida, but the exclusive shopping, pristine beaches, and wide-open spaces are worth top dollar.
While Naples is considered one of the more expensive cities in Florida, there is still much to do that is affordable. There is a picturesque pier that is the most recognizable feature of the city, and the beaches provide the perfect backdrop for some rest and relaxation. The beaches of Naples make a big splash with all water lovers and enthusiasts. The Old Marine Marketplace at Tin City is a section of Naples that used to be an oyster processing plant, but now is the home to many stores, unique shops, and restaurants. Millionaire’s Row is a district filled with multi-million dollar homes; these palm-lined streets not only possess the beautiful architecture of the mansions, but there are a multitude of clubs, shops, bars, restaurants, antiques, boutiques, and hotels here. The nightlife is generally a bit more sedated, and definitely more refined (no spring breakers here) than a lot of the touristy Floridian cities. Nonetheless, there is always something to do when the sun goes down.
As to be expected from such a classy, sophisticated city, the artists have found a real home in Naples. The residents of Naples encourage and heavily support the arts and there are many art galleries to visit. The Murano of Naples Gallery showcases blown glass via the technique used in Venice, Italy, that can be traced back to 982 CE. Besides visual arts, Naples supports the Performing Arts, and the Philharmonic Center for the Arts is located on Pelican Bay Blvd in Naples.
